Delete your LORE account

You can delete your account and the data linked to it at any time. This page explains how, what is removed, and what is kept. LORE is developed by NEXT RMM SOLUTIONS S.R.L..

Delete in the app

  1. Open LORE, go to your Profile and tap the Settings (gear) icon.
  2. Tap Delete account.
  3. Tap Delete my account to confirm.

If you signed in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm so we can also revoke LORE's access to your Apple ID. Deletion starts straight away and you are signed out.

If you can't open the app

Email privacy@feedthelore.app from the email address you use to sign in to LORE, with the subject "Delete my LORE account". If you signed in with Google, use that Google account's email address. If you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, write from the email address linked to your Apple ID and include your display name and the name of a group you are in, so we can find your account. We may ask you to confirm the request so we do not delete someone else's account. We complete deletion within 30 days of confirming your request.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile: display name, profile photo, birth year, timezone, notification settings and push notification tokens.
  • Your memberships in every group, and your Episode answers in the groups you are still a member of.
  • The content of every Drop you added, in any group, including photos, videos, voice notes, quotes, moments and song picks. Reacts on those Drops are deleted with them.
  • Every React you added, including selfie Reacts.
  • Your block list and the list of Drops you reported.
  • Your sign-in account.

If you are the only admin of a group, admin rights pass to the member who has been in the group longest.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Group numbers. Your groups keep their Lore Energy and group streak. These are statistics, not your content, and they stay with the group.
  • Other members' Drops. Drops added by other people stay with them, including quotes they attributed to you or photos you appear in. Ask them or the group admin to delete those, or report them.
  • Content-free records. A record that a Drop existed, without its content, may remain so the group's history stays consistent.
  • Past Episodes. Episodes that were already played keep their rounds as they were played, which can include quote and moment text, song details and display names, together with results. Your answers in groups you left before deleting your account also stay with those groups.
  • Safety records. Reports you made or that were made about you, and moderation decisions, are kept for as long as needed to keep users safe and handle legal claims, and longer where the law requires.
  • Purchase records. Subscription records are kept for as long as accounting, tax and legal rules require.
  • Diagnostics and backups. Crash reports and usage events, which are not linked to your account, expire within 14 months. Deleted data can remain in backups for a limited period before it is overwritten.

Subscriptions

LORE+ is billed by Apple or Google, so deleting your account does not stop billing. Cancel in your App Store subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions. If you paid for LORE+, it stays on for that group until the end of the current billing period and then ends, but your subscription keeps renewing until you cancel it. Payments are not refunded except where the law requires. See our Terms.

Other requests

  • To delete a single Drop, open it, tap the … (More options) button and tap Delete Drop.
  • To remove a React, tap your emoji on the Drop again.
  • To leave a group without deleting your account, open the group's settings and leave it.
  • To be removed from the website waitlist, email privacy@feedthelore.app.
